I am wondering if world peace could really eventuate with our current states of the planet. We have so much going on with the natural disasters, fear of the unknown of the 2012 coming, new viruses out break, chemtrails, world hunger just to mention a few.

Some people are skeptical that world peace could truly happen. Some said that world peace reflects our internal peace. Others think we need to take more actions to make it a reality.

There have been many peace talks globally including the recent 2010 World Peace Conference in Kathmandu, Nepal. The theme of the conference is Unity for Peace and Progress against Imperialism. When I think about the theme, its resonates so well because we all need to be united for peace. As without a group of individual, or even a person, peace could be easily compromised. A lot of peace become destroyed simply because there are a group of individual who wants to control the rest. Wars often result due to the control for imperialism as well as greed either for possessions or power. We all could learn from history. If we could break this cycle of control by certain individual or a group of people, we could certainly gain world peace.

Some says that world peace comes when everybody is at peace internally. The question is how to achieve this internal peace. People have soul searching to find their peace within, by meditating, going for religious or spiritual retreats. But many people also find them by living simply, away from attachments.

People everywhere are faced with personal challenges either personally or work wise. People tend to focus on their issues and they become internalised. I think reminding people about internal peace is one way about achieving the world peace. They are people who believe that the Peace signs would help people think more about peace and perhaps execute peaceful solutions in their daily lives. It is great to see that there are so many Peace products such as tshirt, jewellery, etc which people wear. I think they would indirectly influence people subconsciously without much effort. It is like advertising on TV, bilboards where people are subliminally encouraged to spend to beautiful their physical bodies etc.

Let's do our bits to help with World Peace. There may be lots of skeptics out there but with enough reconfirmation in their subconscious and conscious minds, people would act more peacefully towards one another, including our animal friends and also the environments.
