The actual details on the advertising could be read on article written by an editor, Jill Singer on Herald Sun Online.
This advertising is seemingly targeted towards young kids and their parents. The use of an ape and a famous actor, Sam Neil to justify killing of animals for food to grow brains is very distasteful. Young children love cute animals and they are easily convinced by what they love.
The suggestion that eating meat, especially red meat to grow brains is also very misleading towards the genearal populations. The advertising advises eating regular meat every week 3-4 times a week while the research has indicated that there is a strong direct link between red meat consumption and bowel cancer, which has its highest form of cancers in Australia. There are also other disease risks including obesity, diabetes, heart disease. Albert Einstein was a vegetarian and he was a proven greatest genius of this world for past, present and even the future. He needed no meat to grow his brain or at least concerned about his thinking prowess by not eating meat.
The advertising also subliminally suggests that vegetarians/vegans have smaller brains and have less thinking abilities. This should be considered a contempt towards vegetarians/vegans everywhere. This is untrue and may provide false information towards young people who are considering the lifestyle to be more compassionate and a healthier diet.
The advertising would influence the parents who want smarter kids; younger generations who want better brain power for studying; working adults who need thinking abilities to earn a living and especially the young kids who are really susceptible to subliminal messages. The red meat junk food is available everyway for cheap prices without being concerns for health benefits. Remember that you get what you pay for. Businesses like McDonald etc is there to make monies. Sometimes, the food contains mainly fat and chemical boosted ingredients to make it taste better including MSG, which in fact kills brain cells. So, the advertising would have very adverse effects on human thinking abilities. There have been sugggestions that there are a group of so called elite people who want to dumb the world population so that we could be controlled as people.
Another fact is that meat has been generally boosted with all kinds of growth hormone chemicals. From the beginning of its lives, the animals have suffered through crude treatments including dirty feeds, chemical injections and the slaughtering process. There is a popular saying that we are what we eat.
Australian people need to wake up and take actions. Make your complaints to ACCC, to reduce the effects of the advertising on the young kids and young generations. Other people in the world, make your stands against meat advertising. Take the opportunity to educate the masses if you think vegan/vegetarian diets are the more natural and healthier choices. Do not be dumbed down by the food you eat. Take back the control of your thinking abilities with a living food in vegetables which still retain its life force for awhile even if it is cut off compared to meat which kills the animals straight away.
Please quote your compelling reasons and you may take my view on this blog as a guide.
