Coming from Christian background since Primary School, this hidden Gospel of Thomas provides a different insight into the teachings given by the current Christian Churches.

We are thought through the Churches that we only need faith to be saved. Have we been naively believing that we are saved just simply accept Jesus Christ as the Saviour? Could this be the warning that has been given by the Apostles about false teachings as below ?

• False apostles will lead you to feel you will be judged by God if you leave
  their church, they will use fear tactics to make you their mental
  prisoner. “if he makes you prisoners" (II Cor 11:20)

• A false apostle will seek to elevate his own status, rank and reputation.
  He will make sure it is known that he is in a position over you. He may
  tell you he is in a special position as Gods anointed and appointed
  spokesman. “if he puts himself in a high place"  (II Cor 11:20)
  
• 
  A false apostle will insult you, shame you and lay guilt trips on you. "if he gives you blows on the face" (II Cor 11:20)

• They come in there own name and shift loyalty to them and their vision. How
  many times have you heard “what would Wayman do?”  (Jn. 5:43-44)

• They will try to make Gods sheep their own, they attempt to draw disciples after themselves.  (Acts 20:29-30)
  

What does it mean for Christians ? Have we been taught misleading Truth without the teachers even realising themselves ?

The Gospel of Thomas has taught us that we all can reach where Jesus is by following His path of Light. This means that we need to embody his teachings of love through our daily lives. So, what is the secret ?

24. His disciples said, "Show us the place where you are, for we must seek
it."

He said to them, "Anyone here with two ears had better listen! There is light
within a person of light, and it shines on the whole world. If it does not shine, it is
dark."

50. Jesus said, "If they say to you, 'Where have you come from?' say to them, 'We
have come from the light, from the place where the light came into being by itself,
established [itself], and appeared in their image.'

We need to carry Light within us. We need to find the Secret Way which teaches us to become filled with Light. If our techniques of reaching God daily or weekly at Churches do not bring us closer to the Light. It means that we have been taught correctly. I personally think that meditation is the way to reach God directly and that only by doing so, we have followed Jesus Christ's Teachings. Some meditations (Buddhist method or others) have been confirmed to provide us with some glimpses of Light. Could this be the method ? This we all need to find for ourselves.

There are a lot of other missing Gospels like the Gospel of Mary, Gospel of Peter etc. We need to wonder if the Bible current teachings have been obscured from its original message ? Please research more for yourselves. If we found we are not following the teachings that Jesus Christ wants us to follow, then we could find out how best fulfilling the teachings of Jesus Christ, otherwise it just confirms our faith in the current Christian teachings.
