It is the time of the year again for us to remind our selves on how our energy consumption, reckless by some may contribute to the accelerating global warming phenomena.

We may not save our planet with one hour of dark hours around the globe, but if we could make it a bit of our daily habit, they surely could help a little more.

Recent research funded by Australian Government's Department of Climate Change has revealed that marine life has been found to cause the shell formation to be thinner. Modern shells during the research period were 30 to 35 per cent lighter than those formed prior to the industrial period.

The implication is that more of marine life could be potentially wiped out as the increase of carbon dioxide being pumped into the atmosphere, while at the same time that CO2 was absorbed by the ocean.

I found out today that there might have been hundreds of books which are hidden from the Bible. Apparently, some of these ancient texts belong to the heritage of Judaism and Christianity. One book in particular, the Book of Enoch is considered sacred by some, such as The Ethiopian Church (Reluctant-messenger.com website).

Chinese New Year Celebration

Chinese  celebrates the coming of new year by giving red pockets for good luck for the years ahead. They were given by the older relatives to the youngsters who visited their home for paying respect and celebrate with them.

This year, on 26th January 2009, Chinese (for those who follow Chinese New Year celebration like I do) around the world celebrate the coming of the Ox.  Ox is the brown coloured cow, or frequently identified as earth cow.
